Adoptable Dogs

When you adopt a dog from Chain of Hope, you are giving a dog a second chance at life. We bring in some of the worse neglect and abuse cases in Kansas City, MO. You will be amazed at the transformation a dog goes through from suffering on a chain to now living in your home where they don’t have to worry about when their next meal will be. They will give you nothing but unconditional love.

We do charge an adoption fee since most of the cases we bring in require extensive medical needs. The adoption fee also helps keep our doors open so that we may continue on with our mission.

Chain of Hope’s adoption fees:

  • Puppies 1 and under – $250

  • Dogs between 1 and 10 – $200

  • Seniors 10 and up – $100

This includes: deworming, all vaccinations, rabies tag, micro-chip, spay/neuter, heart worm test, flea & tick prevention, and heart worm prevention.

Ben has been in Chain of Hope's program for over 365 days. We would love nothing more than to get him adopted. He has been in a long-term foster but unfortunately he is back at Chain of Hope. Ben is an energetic young lab mix who loves nothing more than to be next to your side. He was found as a stray by a good samaritan who contacted Chain of Hope. Ben was extremely thin when he came to us but gained weight quickly and is a healthy young man. He loves his people and car rides. He enjoys going on walks and is good on a leash. He can be a bit selfish when it comes to his food, toys, and treats. Because of this, we feel he'd do best in a home without young kids and needs to be the only dog. He will make someone a great only dog. He is smart and loves to play fetch. He knows how to sit, stay and down. House / kennel trained. 40-50lbs 1 year old Chain of Hope’s adoption fee is $200.00. This includes: deworming, all vaccinations, rabies tag, micro-chip, spay/neuter, heart worm test, flea & tick prevention, and heart worm prevention. If you are interested in adopting Ben, please submit an application on our website and one of our volunteers will contact you. https://chainofhopekc.org

Update: Keys is currently in a foster home and he is doing awesome! Totally house-trained, great manners, wonderful boy! Foster parents have 4 other dogs and say Keys is a fantastic house guest! Keys is a happy-go-lucky, playful, happy boy! If you have a dog that needs a companion and needs to play, Keys is your man! He's about a year old, he is obedient, crate-trained and super cute! Keys weighs about 75 lbs. He is strong, but always happy! He loves playing with other dogs, he loves his treats and his frozen bone he gets at night when he kennels for bedtime! Keys is great with everyone, but may accidentally knock down a small child, just because of his size and energy. He is a great boy! Keys came to Chain of Hope because his owner was moving and was going to leave him behind in a kennel in their now vacant house. Not on our watch! We went and got this boy and we sure are glad he's with us now. He makes us laugh everyday! If you are interested in meeting Keys please visit www.chainofhopekc.org and fill out an adoption application. Once we have received your application someone from out team will be right with you. Chain of Hope’s adoption fee is $200.00. This includes: deworming, all vaccinations, rabies tag, micro-chip, spay/neuter, heart worm test, flea & tick prevention, and heart worm prevention. Eileen is a super little girl! She is just perfect-she gets along with other dogs, she is crate and house-trained, she is very loving, too. Eileen came to us after she was hit by a car and had 2 broken legs on the same side! Her owner abandoned her at the vet and the vet went ahead and repaired her legs. Then they called us to see if we could take her into our program, which we did. Eileen had pins in both of her legs on her left side. She was amazing at getting around and she would often stand beside us and lean on us. That's how she got her name, Eileen! Eileen has recovered very well and can run like the wind. She loves laying in the sun and she absolutely is crazy about balls! She has a beautiful smile and she is always smiling! We just love this girl. She is very resilient and sweet. She deserves a great home, especially with all she's been through. If you are interested in meeting Eileen please visit www.chainofhopekc.org and fill out an adoption application. Once we have received your application someone from out team will be right with you. *Local Adoption Only* Kansas City Area Chain of Hope’s adoption fee is $200.00. Levi is a very handsome, black pit bull mix. He is currently in a foster home and doing great! He is about 3 yrs. old and is one of the most deserving dogs that we can think of that needs a wonderful, forever home. Levi lived chained up in a small, fenced area. He had a miserable life. He was terribly neglected. Chain of Hope was able to finally get Levi relinquished from the owners and brought him to Chain of Hope. Levi is so happy now! His entire life has changed. After living such a lonely life, Levi is now in a play group with several other dogs and goes to doggy day care and is doing great! He loves playing with his doggie friends! Levi is crate and house-trained. His is a very affectionate, cuddly dog and seems to be making up for all those months where he had no attention. He absolutely loves people and getting pet and those ears scratched. Levi is a very lovable boy! He loooves to go for walk but is working on his pulling when he gets excited to see another dog or his favorite-squirrels. Levi is very well behaved, listens well, and is very obedient. He knows how to sit, shake and stay. He's the total package! He has the most beautiful, glossy black coat-he's gorgeous! If you are interested in meeting Levi please visit www.chainofhopekc.org and fill out an adoption application. Once we have received your application someone from our team will be right with you. Mabel is a 2 1/2 year old brindle Boxer/Mastiff mix. She's a tall gal who weighs about 70 pounds and is healthy. She is house trained, kennel trained but does not need it. She can be left loose in a home without any destruction. She is very smart and a good listener. She knows "off', "down", "sit", "kennel up", "up", "this way", "wait" and fetches. She comes when called. She is an epic cuddler and loves to snuggle. Mabel enjoys hiking, tug of war, fetch and find, peanut butter and loves rough housing. But really loves cuddling and belly rubs. She would be fine with older kids but because of her size we would recommend not putting her in a home with any children under the age of 8. She seems fine with cats and more submissive dogs but doesn't always do well with dominant or alpha dogs. If you are interested in meeting Mabel please visit www.chainofhopekc.org and fill out an adoption application. Once we have received your application someone from out team will be right with you.
