Adoptable Dogs

When you adopt a dog from Chain of Hope, you are giving a dog a second chance at life. We bring in some of the worse neglect and abuse cases in Kansas City, MO. You will be amazed at the transformation a dog goes through from suffering on a chain to now living in your home where they don’t have to worry about when their next meal will be. They will give you nothing but unconditional love.

We do charge an adoption fee since most of the cases we bring in require extensive medical needs. The adoption fee also helps keep our doors open so that we may continue on with our mission.

Chain of Hope’s adoption fees:

  • Puppies 1 and under – $250

  • Dogs between 1 and 10 – $200

  • Seniors 10 and up – $100

This includes: deworming, all vaccinations, rabies tag, micro-chip, spay/neuter, heart worm test, flea & tick prevention, and heart worm prevention.

  • Pit Bull Terrier, Mixed
  • Housebroken
  • Up-to-date with routine shots

Hi I'm Dougie and guess what... I AM A PARVO SURVIVOR! You could say I am a tough cookie! I am looking for a permanent human to fill the following roles: best friend, guardian, food provider, butt scratcher, nap manager, walk planner, toy locator, and forever partner in crime. If you think you can handle all that, reach out to my people. I am about 8-10 weeks and a pit mix. I’m not going to be a big guy but what I lack in size, I make up for in kisses and cuddles. I am just a baby, so I am learning household basics, but I'm picking it up quickly because I'm a smart one. If you are interested in meeting me, please visit www.chainofhopekc.org and fill out an adoption application. Once received someone from our team will be right with you. **Local Adoption Only - Kansas City Area** Adoption fee includes deworming, all vaccinations, rabies tag, micro-chip, spay/neuter, heart worm test, flea & tick prevention, and heart worm prevention. Hi, we are Barney and Macy, a bonded pair of Dobermans. Barney is 8-9 years old and Macy is 2-3 years old. We came to Chain of Hope together when our owner couldnt care for us any longer. We were really nervous at first, but Chain of Hope has made us comfortable. While Macy is the size of a normal Doberman, large, Barney is extra large. While these two dogs are large and their size might surprise you (at least Barney's might), they are the sweetest, most gentle souls you will meet. We do come as a packaged deal, because we just love each other so much. We have gone through a lot together and work out better together. But don't worry, with us both, you will always get tons of love. Both of us are vetted and heartworm negative. Barney does have old man lumps on his body, but they are nothing to worry about. Just a little extra lovin! We are both healthy and ready for a new family to give all our love to! Hi, I'm Ruth! I am a low riding female that is about 2-3 years old. I am a sweet girl that loves to play. I have been placed with other dogs, but I am a little bossy at times . I love to play fetch with the volunteers and sit pretty for pictures. I love it when I get to sit, get a picture, then followed up by a treat! Man, that's a sweet deal! I also have the cutest wrinkled on my noggin. Who said wrinkles weren't cute? Because I totally make that statement false! If you are looking for a sweet girl, that's the perfect size. Look at my cute face! I am heading to a foster home and can't wait but would prefer a forever home. Ruth is house trained and kennel trained. Greta

  • Housebroken
  • Up-to-date with routine shots

Greta is a 1-year old pittie mix. She was found as a stray on the side of the road, at night, sick with parvo. She beat it, though - she is one strong little girl! Greta is VERY shy around new people, especially men. But once she warms up to you, then you are friends for good! Greta LOVES playing with the other dogs in her foster home. She can play hard, but settle down and cuddle, too. She is looking for a home that understands she is shy in the beginning. Another dog really helps bring her out of her shell. Therefore, a home with another dog and a fenced yard to play in is a must to make her feel right at home! A fenced yard, another playful dog, and a female adult human in the home are all required for Greta's forever home. She has been adopted and returned once due to her extreme fear of men. She has been in an experienced foster home for over six months now. She still runs from her foster dad sometimes. Greta needs an experienced owner with time and patience to continue working on building her confidence. If you have questions or would like to speak with Greta's foster mom, please email your contact info to cohkcvolunteer@gmail.com and she will give you a call. Thanks! $200 Adoption fee includes spay, dewormer, vaccinations, rabies tag, microchip, heartworm test and heartworm/flea/tick prevention.
