Volunteer

Passionate about animal welfare and looking for ways to do more? Volunteer with us! We rely on help from volunteers for so many different activities – there’s something for everyone and we’re always looking for more help!

We always need volunteers to help with adoption events (usually on weekends) held at various businesses. If you like to talk to people about dogs and why adopting really is the best option, we’d be delighted to have your help at these events!

We have several fundraisers every year that require a lot of work before, during, and after the event. The only way we’re able to host successful fundraisers is because of our amazing volunteers!

We also rely on volunteers to help at our facility in Raytown, MO (especially on Saturdays). We require several training sessions for shelter volunteers where you will shadow a seasoned volunteer during a typical 3-hour shift. Please note that for liability reasons, volunteers working at our shelter facility must be at least 16 years of age. We welcome help from our younger supporters at adoption events and fundraisers though!

Chain of Hope relies on volunteers for a variety of things:

* Adoption events

* Fundraisers

* Dog walking & socialization

* Cleaning/Organizing at our facility in Raytown, MO

* Yard and building maintenance

* Photography (taking photos of dogs for Petfinder)

Saturday shifts at our facility

* Picking up donations (especially if you have a truck or SUV)

If you’re interested in volunteering, please submit a volunteer application through the link provided. Kindly allow up to 7 days for us to respond to your application.
